Award-winning photographers John and Doris Costello have been photographing professionally for 28 years. As members of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) -- the world's largest nonprofit association for professional photographers - John and Doris hold Certification, Photographic Craftsman, and Master of Photography Degrees from the PPA.

Costello Photography has received worldwide recognition for their work.

The Professional Photographers of America chose Costello's award winning photography to be published in their Loan Collection Album and Showcase Album, highlighting the top images in the United States. Wedding and Portrait Photographers International included their photographs in the publication in "Photography Artistry".

Locally, John and Doris belong to the Guild of Professional Photographers of the Delaware Valley and have held several positions on the Board of Directors. Being well known in Philadelphia as top Wedding Photographers, Costello Photography has been nominated 2 years in a row for "Best Studio" by MyFox Philly.

Their photography was recently used in a Philadelphia Weddings Magazine feature article.

The numerous awards they have received for their photography include being chosen as "Best of the Knot" and "Best Wedding Album of the Year." Additionally, they have received individuals photographic awards for Best Portrait of a Man, Best Commercial Photograph, and Best Landscape Photograph.

Although Costello Photography specializes in Weddings, their non-wedding photography has been published in Popular Photography, Scientific American, Professional Photographer, Outdoor Explorer, Kayak and Paddling, Astronomy, Ad Astra, 21^st Century Science & Technology, and Parade Magazine.

Although John and Doris are passionate about their photography, they are both very athletic and participate in various sports and have photographed popular celebrities.

John is an avid tennis player and a member of the Delaware Valley Tennis Club and Northeast Racquet Club. His United States Tennis Association league ranking is 3.5.

One of his most exciting jobs as a photographer includes photographing the Philadelphia Freedom tennis team for World Team Tennis.

John has also had the privilege of photographing Billy Jean King, John McEnroe, Venus Williams, Andy Roddick, Pete Sampras, Elton John, and the Bryan Brothers among others.

He also has a lifelong interest in magic and has served as President of the Houdini Club of Philadelphia. John currently teaches an introduction to magic class at the Upper Moreland Elementary School.

And if he doesn't sound busy enough doing things he loves, every other Thursday you can usually find him playing poker.

Doris Costello attended Little Flower Catholic High School, Chestnut Hill College, and the Art Institute of Philadelphia.

After starting out in a medical career, she shifted into graphic design and worked for a major pharmaceutical company.

Yoga has become her passion as well as everything health and wellness. She also enjoys cooking,eating healthy foods, and gardening.

She is also a Marathon walker and a member of Prevention Magazines WALK IT! Team.

Doris enjoys many sports and playing tennis, golf, kayaking, biking, and one day will participate in a triathalon.

Doris also volunteers her time to help others in need. In fact, she volunteered on ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition when they built a home for a local Philadelphia family.
